Actually, before this Group D recruitment was out in 2017 and at that time about 64 thousand posts were recruited. Whereas, in this recruitment, about 39 thousand more i.e. 1.03 lakh posts are to be recruited as compared to the previous recruitment.

There has been a decline in the number of candidates:

In the current recruitment of Group D, the number of candidates has decreased by 75 lakhs as compared to the previous recruitment. Actually to join the previous recruitment of Group D where 1.90 crore candidates had applied. At the same time, about 1.15 crore candidates have applied to join the current recruitment of Group D.

How much can be the cut off:

The decrease in the number of candidates and increase in the number of vacancies can have an impact on this recruitment and it is possible that this time the cut off score will be slightly lower than the previous recruitment. It is expected that in this recruitment, the overall cut off for general category candidates is 77 to 82 marks, OBC category candidates 73 to 78 marks, SC category candidates 67 to 72 marks and ST category candidates.
